What are you doing consistently to be more consistent?


Quick reminder this week.

Every hitter I talk to tells me the same thing.. they want to be more consistent.

Cool. Then I ask them — what are you doing consistently?

*Blank stare*

You can't expect consistent results if nothing in your week is actually consistent.

The hitters who figure this out usually start with three things:

  • A daily movement + hitting routine (get sharp, lock in)
  • A notebook or journal routine (write down what you worked on, what felt off, what you're tracking)
  • Consistent communication with your hitting coach (don't disappear for two weeks then ask why nothing's clicking)

That's it. Not complicated.

A phenomenal quote I heard in a hitting coach group call today was..

"If you take your daily vitamins (routine, drills) you won't need medicine (2 week drought, and a lot of correction work to get back on track)"

Most hitters skip these because they feel small. (like vitamins)

They don't feel like "the work." But these keep you sharp.
