Every hitter I train in Remote Results gets this exact video during their onboarding. Here's why. Golfers are obsessed with camera angles. They only film from two exact spots, every time. Move the phone a foot and the same swing looks totally different. Hitting's the same. But nobody teaches hitters how to film. If your angle changes every week, I'm comparing camera spots, not swings. And I end up fixing stuff that isn't broken. Same angle every time is the only way to see real progress. Here are the two angles: From behind. Lined up with the batter's box line. (video explains) Chest view. Straight on, phone at chest height. (video explains) Game speed. Not slow-mo. We can't be as exact as golfers. Nets and foul balls get in the way. Get as close as your cage lets you. It's worth it. Here's the full video: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14k5iMhSoNFS2RWk1ZiDrrSwCI-dgJtWT?usp=sharing Trey |

I'm teaching my kids these two things first. It would've changed everything for me. Most players work on the wrong thing their entire career. • They fix their stance • Adjust their load • Tweak their swing path The one that actually separates good from elite goes completely ignored. Your mind. Looking back, the most damaging thing in my development wasn't bad coaching or bad reps. It was the slow erosion of belief that came from a constant focus on what was wrong. A player who believes he's...
Like a lot of you know, I'm always figuring out what's best for the hitter. Some need to rotate more. Some need to rotate less. For some, it depends on the week. So I built both. Like I do for every hitter I coach. Now you pick. Need to rotate more? The Rotate Better, Swing Shorter Hitting Program Use the ground and turn behind the ball. 👉 https://treyhannamtraining.mykajabi.com/rotation-power-program Need to rotate less? A 90 mph fastball gets to the plate in 0.4 seconds. Josh was bringing 5 swing thoughts with him. He’s a sophomore in Remote Results. In the cage he hits like Tarzan. In games he hits like Jane. This week I posted a graphic. The average hitter carries 8 thoughts: grip, stance, hands, Dad’s tip, coach’s tip, don’t pull off, be ready, hunt your pitch. The elite hitter focuses on the last 2. (The first 6 are real. I coach every one. They just live in the cage.) Here’s the split I gave Josh. Cage:...
